GDSL Philly Showcase Brings New Opportunity to the area
Philadelphia, Pa. - The Golden Desert Super League heads to Philadelphia on Sunday night for the second stop of its GDSL Summer Showcase Series, giving local and regional players a real chance to be seen and evaluated at the professional level.
For the Philly Pressure, this showcase carries a deeper purpose. Many of the team’s current players are recent graduates of small colleges across Pennsylvania, where they competed and built strong basketball resumes. However, like many players from underrepresented programs, they did not always have a clear path to continue playing after college.
This is exactly the kind of gap the GDSL was created to help fill.
The league is focused on creating opportunities for overlooked and underrepresented players who still have the talent, work ethic and competitive drive to play at the next level.
Philadelphia has always been a city full of gritty hoopers and Sunday’s Showcase gives those players a platform to prove they belong.
The GDSL Philly Showcase will take place on Sunday, June 28, 2026, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Alan Horwitz “Sixth Man” Center in Philadelphia.
Players can register online at gdslbasketball.com under the events section, or pay at the door prior to the 6:00 pm start.
